We're a small independent team based in Wyoming. PicturesRestore began with a simple belief — that the faces in old family photographs deserve the same care we'd give the people themselves.
Most of us know what it's like to open a shoebox and find only ghosts of pictures. The wedding photo of a grandmother who's gone. The one portrait left of a father who passed too soon. We built this so those moments could come back — clearly, in color, the way memory wants to keep them.

Do I really need to pay before seeing it?+

How long does it take?+

Is my photo really safe?+
Yes. Photos are encrypted in transit and at rest, never used to train AI, and automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after restoration.
Can you restore my photo even if it is badly damaged?+
We work on faded, torn, water-damaged, scratched, yellowed, low-resolution, and otherwise damaged photographs from the 1800s through the 2000s. The more damage, the harder — but you see the result before paying, so you only pay if our work meets your standards.
Is this done by AI or a human?+
We use next-generation AI image models — the same family of technology used by professional photo restoration studios. The result is what a human retoucher would produce, faster and at a fraction of the price.
What about black-and-white photos — will you add color?+
Yes. We add natural, period-accurate color to every part of the image — skin tones, clothing, surroundings — based on what is in the photograph. If your photo was originally in color but has faded or shifted, we restore the original colors instead.
How accurate will the colors be?+
They are a thoughtful interpretation, not a forensic recreation. Colors are inferred from the scene, era, and natural skin tones — what the photograph would have looked like if it had been shot on color film of that time. Most people are stunned at how natural it feels. And remember — you see the result before paying.
What size will the download be?+
A high-resolution digital file, perfect for digital sharing, social media, and small physical prints. For very large prints (8×10 or bigger), you may want to enlarge with a separate AI upscaling tool after download.
Will it print well?+
For small frames, photo albums, sharing digitally, or printing up to about 4×6 inches — yes. For larger prints, the file is on the smaller side; an enlargement tool will help.
What file format do I get?+
